2410 Conditions of Deposit

Once the patent is granted, the depositor (patent applicant) may not place any restrictions on the availability of the deposit to the public with the following exception:
- The depositor may require that samples of the deposited material shall only be furnished if a request for the sample meets any one or all three of the following conditions:
- The request is in writing and dated; and/or
- The request contains the name and address of the requesting party and the accession number of the deposit; and/or
- The request is communicated in writing by the depository to the depositor along with the date the sample was furnished and the name and address to whom it was furnished to.
